Cordry/Sweetwater Anglers Club

Hi! and WELCOME to the web site by the Cordry/Sweetwater Anglers Club.
Cordry and Sweetwater lakes lie in the northeast corner of beautiful Brown County, Indiana. Sweetwater is approximately 320 acres and Cordry is about 240 acres. They are private lakes, only accessible to the lot owners around each lake.

The lakes are full of large and small mouth bass, blue gill, crappie, catfish, pike, perch and some walleye. Homes, trees and wildlife surround each lake. Sweetwater and Cordry lakes are ranked the first and second cleanest and clearest lakes in the state of Indiana. Sweetwater has a large swimming area and beach. Each lake has "boat patrol" to ensure the safety of the anglers and boaters.

The Anglers club was formed to help the conservancy preserve the lakes. We also support the entire conservancy board and district in their plans to conserve this pristine ecology. We also help aquatic life by adding manmade and natural cover in each lake.

Each spring the club prepares for the new season beginning with a rules and regulations meeting to evaluate the prior season. We have a club meeting almost every month, to discuss our budget, tournaments, stocking of the lakes, habitat and issues related to the lakes fishing and the Anglers club. Our goal is to make fishing at these lakes special and a memorable successful experience. We are a volunteer organization that spends the membership fees to improve structure, vehicle/trailer parking, ecology, fire department, docks, a kids tourney and the general wellness of the lake community.  New members are always WELCOME ... yet you don't need to be a member to fish with us and KIDS under 15 fish for free with a paid adult !

What is the goal of this site? We want to provide all anglers of Sweetwater and Cordry, information on what's going on around the lakes, fishing tips, and information for others to help us conserve our lakes. We also will keep readers informed on up coming tournaments and special events hosted by the Anglers Club. Go to the contacts tab and e-mail an officer with your comments and questions, this will allow us to better serve you by giving you the information you want. Thanks, and enjoy.!
